Dupin cyclides and their application

Resumo:

In conformal geometry being the geometry of the Moebius group Dupin cyclides play the same role as planes and spheres in Euclidean geometry - their conformal principal curvatures vanish. We shall show some new results on Dupin cyclides based on work of Langevin, Sifre, Garnier, Druoton and Walczak P, Walczak S, Bartoszek on possible applications of Dupin cyclides in tangency and blending of surfaces.
